Cranes Software registers Rs 1.93 crore net

Cranes Software International Ltd. (CSIL), a scientific and engineering software solutions provider, recorded net sales of Rs 7.46 crores for the second quarter ended September 30, 2002. The profit after tax for the quarter was Rs. 1.93 crore. The consolidated turnover including that of its subsidiaries was Rs. 14.14 crore.

For the half-year ended September 30, 2002, the company recorded net sales of Rs 14.30 crore. The profit after tax for the first half was Rs 3.86 crore. The consolidated turnover including subsidiaries was Rs 22.52 crore with a profit after tax of Rs 5.76. The CSIL Board of Directors approved these results at a meeting held in Bangalore recently.

Talking about the company's near term prospects, Mr Asif Khader, Managing Director said, "We have already implemended several measures to diversify investments and have cost structure more commensurate with revenues. Our strategy to aggressively grow deeper into the domain area of scientific and engineering software is showing progress and results."
